Term 3 Students of the Term

We are thrilled to announce and celebrate our Students of the Term for Term 3.

Year 9
Aditha Ranawaka
Since joining the school, Aditha has worked extremely hard. An ESOL student, for whom English is a second language, he can only be described as thirsty for knowledge. He always wants to complete all his learning to a high standard and continually asks for more. He is truly on a journey of self-betterment. Aditha embraces every school value and is proud to be at Otago Boys' High School. As well as being incredibly diligent, he is polite, friendly and well-liked by his classmates.


Year 10
Tanveer Singh

Tanveer sets himself goals and strives for Excellence. He asks his teachers for support and follows their guidance.  He consistently engages in class, trying to seek ways to improve. By the end of term 3, he not only has a perfect 5/5 for effort across all his subjects but also has 5/5 academically. Tanveer is a young man determined to achieve his goals and better himself. He embraces every school value and is proud to be an OBHS student.

Year 11
Toby Ollerenshaw

Toby perseveres, he puts in effort and strives to complete tasks. Polite, friendly to all and always cheerful. Toby is appreciative of the efforts of others and thanks people for their support. He always contributes to class discussion and is really engaged to achieve as highly as possible.

Year 12
Henry Lucas

Henry is a great all-round student who gives 100% to any task he undertakes. He shows courage in asking intelligent questions, he always completes his learning to the highest standard he can. Henry assists his peers regularly and consistently contributes to a positive classroom environment. Driven to succeed he is a polite student with a mature attitude along with a great sense of humour.

Year 13
Mack Wrigley

Mack is a very dedicated worker. Despite some sports injuries out of his control last term, he missed out on several opportunities, Mac has given nothing but 100%. Mack views learning as a journey rather than simply a means to gain credits/UE. He asks intelligent questions and provides good banter. Mack is an all-rounder that sets high standards in and out of the classroom.
