Honours Boards restored

Last Monday, Colin Marshall, an old boy of Otago Boys' High School who attended in the late 1970s and early 1980s, spent the day cleaning and restoring our Honours Boards.

These boards recognise the fallen old boys, who died in service during World War One and are located within our iconic archway.

Mr Marshall believes this may be the first time the boards have been cleaned since their installation in 1923.

Colin, who owns Marshall Funeral Directors in Auckland, reconnected with the school through our Old Boys' Auckland event earlier this year, where he generously volunteered his services. His contribution exemplifies the "hand up, not out" ethos we strive to instil in our boys at Otago Boys'.

We are sure you’ll agree that the Honours Boards look exceptional, and we would like to express our sincere thanks to Colin for his incredible work in restoring these memorials to honour the brave young men they commemorate.
