Tēnā koutou katoa, Bula vinaka, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Ia orana, Kam na mauri, Kia ōrāna, Mālō e lelei, Talofa, Talofa lava, Taloha ni and warm Pasifika greetings.
Polyfest 2024 was an important cultural event held this year in Dunedin at the Edgar centre bringing together our Polyfest Pasifika cultures through dance and song.
Our school in tandem with Otago Girls' High School formed the group to become known as Tamaiti O Le Moana. Hundreds of hours went into creating these performances to showcase the importance and deep cultural significance this has to our students.
A special thankyou to the Dean of Pasifika from OGHS Vicki Millar and Matua Mac Te Ngahue.
You could see the pride shown by our Pasifika parents and the humbling haka at the end of the performance.
For those who were lucky enough to attend or watched on live stream they were overwhelmed with the performance of Pasifika and Maori akonga from around the Otago region, our Tamaiti O Le Moana were amazing. Looking forward to next year's performance.
