Otago Boys’ High School are the regional champions!

Last Friday, nine of our top Geography students represented OBHS at the regional competition in Otago, going head-to-head with students from other schools across the region. The competition was intense, with participants showcasing their skills across nine challenging rounds which tested their knowledge of Geography concepts, map reading, current events, flags, and even their creativity with playdough!

We are thrilled to announce that our OBHS 1 team, consisting of Robbie Nichol, Jayden Lu and Samuel Crump claimed first place in the regional competition and finished 4th nationally! This is an outstanding achievement, especially considering they were just four points away from the national winners.

A huge congratulations to our other competing teams as well, who also did exceptionally well, securing 3rd and 4th places. Well done to Nikau McNeilly, Deegan McCormick, Finlay Williamson, Charlie Deedman, Henry Savage, and Ben Couling for their impressive performances.

We are incredibly proud of all our students who competed and represented OBHS with excellence. Their mahi and teamwork paid off. We look forward to seeing even more great results in the future and holding the trophy for another year.
