My name is Shamus Young. This year I have been gifted the opportunity to embark on the amazing gateway programme.

I have been placed for this journey at EB Engineering, a well renowned engineering company in Dunedin's industrial area. This experience has opened my eyes to the possible opportunities the engineering industry has to offer.

EB Engineering, known for its innovative approach and construction of PERKINS NZ agricultural equipment, has provided me with a perfect environment to expand my knowledge and views into potential future career options. I have experienced a diverse range of roles, from tig welding to creating panels for crutching trailers. Each day brought new learning opportunities, allowing me to develop teamwork and independent working skills.

I am truly grateful to EB Engineering for this opportunity. Their commitment to being patient and providing me with real world experiences inside the engineering industry has been amazing.
