What a busy week it has been! Last Sunday, our Juniors ended the weekend with a trip down to Megazone for a few Laser Tag games. It was great to have such an awesome turnout and to get some Year 9 and 10 bonding going!
On Monday night we kicked off our first inter-house competition for Term 3 with an exciting Kahoot quiz night! The first quiz focused on the Paris Olympics, followed by a second quiz full of challenging riddles. Each house was divided into smaller teams and while they competed, the boys were treated to some chips thanks to our fantastic kitchen staff. The evening was a great success, filled with fun and a little competition! Well done to Hawthorne for winning overall.
Last week a few of our boys headed away on the Year 12 Outdoor Education Trip to the Snow Farm in Cardrona. With superb skiing and snowboarding conditions, they enjoyed making snow caves and enjoyed the sunshine! Thank you to Izaah Iosefo for the awesome photos.
This week our School House ‘Man of the Week’ goes to Olly White. Olly joined us at the start of Term 3 coming from Nelson College. Olly has settled into hostel life and routines extremely well. He works hard in prep and throughout his extracurricular activities. Olly has also recently made the interprovincial rowing team for Marlborough. Well done!
Things to look forward to for the rest of the week include a whole hostel activity this Friday night watching the Otago vs Auckland NPC rugby game. All students are encouraged to attend, and it would be fantastic to go down and support our old boys, as well as current housemaster Ben Lopas and former housemaster Christian Lio-Willie.
The Juniors will also have a compulsory Sunday activity this weekend. Parents, please note that the Junior activity has changed from Moana Pool to Ten Pin Bowling at 1:00 pm.
Have a great weekend!
