While our rugby teams were giving their all on the pitch, another group of dedicated students were hard at work tackling a pressing engineering challenge.
Last weekend four of our senior students: Ethan Maw, Thomas Hayman, Luke Woo, and Chanwoo Mun spent an impressive 8 hours devising a solution to the intriguing question - "How many airships would be required to replace the Cook Strait ferries?"
This year’s New Zealand Engineering Science Competition saw participation from 272 teams across the country. Our team’s performance was nothing short of stellar, demonstrating exceptional imagination, innovation, and teamwork in their approach to this complex problem. We are incredibly proud of Ethan, Thomas, Luke, and Chanwoo for their commitment and ingenuity.
Congratulations, gentlemen, on your outstanding effort and contribution to the competition!
