Outstanding Maths results

On the 21st of May, 34 of our students took part in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking competition.

This competition gives students the opportunity to develop their problem-solving skills through algorithmic thinking. It incorporates unique three-stage tasks that encourage students to develop informal algorithms and apply them to test data of increasing size or complexity.

The students can be very proud of their performances across the board.

Notably, some of our students achieved Distinction (scoring in the top 15% of their year). Congratulations to the following students:

Sammie Jamieson
Riley Horne
Chris McArthur
Oscar Sharpe
Robbie Nichol

A special mention needs to go to Henry Hodgson in Year 10 who was not only the top performer in our school, but with 34 questions correct out of a possible 35, he scored in the top 1% of the country for his year.

Thank you to all the students who took part. Results for the other maths competitions will be available later in the year.
