Hostel update

Welcome to the Otago Boys' School House weekly newsletter update.

Each week we bring you the latest updates around the boarding house, celebrate our students' achievements, and keep you informed about upcoming events and important announcements.

It has been a particularly busy first three weeks in the boarding house with sports and extracurricular activities. There have been a few frosty mornings and drizzly days but it has been great to finally see the sun shining! As everyone settles back into the hostel routines and busy schedules, it's fantastic to check in with the boys after a busy day.

Winter sports are in full swing again for term 3 with many of our students participating in rugby, football, hockey, shooting, and ice hockey. We're looking forward to supporting our teams at their upcoming matches.

Last Sunday, the Year 9 boys enjoyed a trip to Moana Pool. Thanks to Year 13 Archie Chittock for taking them down and supervising. As you will see in the calendar, the Year 9s have a compulsory Sunday activity. Please keep an eye on our social media for any changes that may occur. This coming week, the boys look forward to Laser Tag at Megazone!

Last night our Year 9 and 10 boys enjoyed the Tolcarne Social. The Tolcarne Social was themed as the Olympics. After a slow start to mingling, the boys slowly started to break the ice. Thanks to our prefects Archie, Seth, Harvey and Tevita for coming down and supervising the boys!

Please keep an eye out for our term calendar (copy attached below) to ensure you don't miss out on any of the exciting activities and opportunities happening within our school community
