Gateway Placement 2024 - Hunter Burgess

Every Friday throughout term one and two I have been privileged to be out on the Gateway programme.

I am hosted by Peter Marshall and his team at Marshall Ag & Balage doing agricultural contracting work around the district. I have learnt a range of skills like operating big machines and how to look after and keep them tidy. I have become confident with driving them as they are no easy vehicle to be driving down the road. The variety of tasks I've been involved with include moving and stacking bales as well as bailing and making good quality bales.

All the workers are funny and have good personalities. I enjoy working there and having a laugh, and would recommend it to anyone who loves operating machinery and working on farms.
