Highland Dancing success

Talented Year 11 student Alex Glover, recently showcased his exceptional skills at the Highland Dancing Competitions held in Ashburton, which hosted the Nationals for 2024.

Competing against up to 50 participants in his age group (U16), Alex delivered outstanding performances across various categories.

His dedication and hard work were evident as he secured impressive placements ranging from 3rd to 10th in the highly competitive U16 division. Notably, Alex achieved a remarkable 6th place ranking in New Zealand for his age group, highlighting his consistency and skill in this demanding dance form.

Alex's achievements extended beyond his age group, as he also claimed a commendable 3rd place in an U18 dance category, demonstrating his versatility and ability to excel across different levels of competition.

These accomplishments are a testament to Alex's perseverance and commitment to his passion for Highland Dancing. Countless hours of practice and determination have undoubtedly contributed to his success.
