A positive week at the Hostel. The naming of our new Director of Boarding, Mr. John Hedges is exciting for School House moving forward.

The week started well with many of the senior boys taking the chance to attend the tertiary open day. It was great to hear the conversations with the boys and the Housemasters around different courses and programmes for next year. Positive to see the renewed sense of purpose the boys have after those visits.

The Prefects ran the dodgeball competition on Monday with Thomson being victorious. Fantastic to see the boys involved and having fun. Nothing says brotherhood more than trying to avoid a fast moving ball. Well done to the boys for their behaviour and the spirit throughout the event. Keep up the good work.

Thanks to all the parents that filled in the feedback form. It made for great reading and gives Mr. Hedges in his new role a good baseline. The overall satisfaction score of 5.1 out of 6 shows School House is making good progress and while there is always elements to improve, the hostel is in good spirits.

Be safe over the weekend and I look forward to seeing the boys next week and hearing their stories.
