Volunteer required

Often I am asked by Hostel parents how they can contribute to the life of School House.

The best way is to join our excellent Hostel Parent Committee, which is currently made up of four caring and supportive Hostel parents. The role of the committee is very important, they are the sounding board of and the bridge between the management of the hostel and the parents. We meet once or twice a term, always on a day when you need to pick up your son and we get a report form the Director of boarding, we review Hostel policies and we discuss how School House can be better every day. The person who comes forward needs to be connected to the values of the hostel; Respect, Courage, Honour, Perseverance and Excellence and be willing to lead some of the parent functions we hope to have. The recommendations given by this committee are taken to the full School Board and discussed in their meetings.
