Not great for my waistline

It has been a great first week of term 2 spending time with the boys at the Hostel. I have really enjoyed my time up there. Particularly the 7am wake ups. There is something strangely enjoyable about waking up the slumbering forms of teenage boys.

I have been working alongside our excellent House Masters and Matron Janis getting to know the systems and seeing the boys in their natural habitat. There are times when a David Attenborough voice feels like it should be playing over the speaker system. But the boys are full of energy, laughter and great fun to be around.

Another highlight has been sharing meals with the boys, so here is what is on the menu for next week. Donna and the team do a great job and I look forward to tucking in to some yummy food and sharing more stories with the boys next week. Those puddings are too good.

I would just like to say a huge thanks to Atu for being patient and showing me the ropes. He is an outstanding role model for the boys.

Any problems please contact Atu or myself.

We will be sending out a calendars for the term in the coming days.
