In the morning, we remembered them

This morning the entire school and guests took part in our annual ANZAC service.

The Rector welcomed students and special guests before Head Boy, Fergus Oberlin-Brown read the Spirit of ANZAC. Guest speaker, Dr Nicola Brown, addressed the assembly and Year 9 student Guy Orchiston read the Binyon extract. Deputy Head Boy, Freddie Hore along with Head of School House, Archie Chittock shared in the reading of the names of OBHS old boys who died at Gallipoli from the Book of Remembrance.

At the end of the service the students lined the path to the archway where wreaths and poppies were laid. Year 10 students placed 36 crosses representing our fallen. The school bell tolled 36 times in remembrance of our old boys from the Gallipoli campaign.

We will remember them.
