Futsal finals were played on the last Thursday of term and it was good to have all 18 teams playing.
With the Easter break and several byes in the draw, some teams have not had a lot of play in recent weeks.
Despite this, there were some slick performances and little signs of the lack of play.
The Senior division finals were much anticipated with some derby matches. In Division One the Whites won 1 nil against the Blues. The latter without their goalkeeper, Jono Tucker, for the game. In the Division Two final, the Wiggles held a 3-2 lead over the Reds. However, a flurry of goals saw the latter celebrating a 4-3 result on the buzzer.
In the Junior grades we had a number of wins to round out the season. Unfortunately, our City team, playing in the Division Two final, lost 1-3 Trinity College. The Blues were our best placed team in Division One, beating King's High School for third place.
Thank you to our team managers who have looked after teams this season. With the large playing numbers we simply cannot staff every team. A special thanks to our student managers, Daniel Brockway and Luis Deaker.
