Climbing update

Term 1 has been a busy time for the climbing group at OBHS.

A record number of boys signed up and 25 participated every Tuesday. By 3.30pm the boys are at Resistance Climbing looking to see what new problems had been set to challenge themselves on. The improvements have been significant amongst the group with everyone climbing harder problems by the end of term.

We were fortunate to participate in two outdoors trips with OGHS to Port Chalmers Quarry and Long Beach - the home of Dunedin climbing. Rope skills were learnt and put into practice.

Looking forwards, the focus indoors in Term 2 will be on effective warmups to avoid injuries. We have another Long Beach trip with OGHS. Further outdoor trips are in the pipeline throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to help and support us. In particular, Mr Tim Adler and Mr Daniel Bleckinger from OGHS.
