After an exciting few weeks, we have concluded our Ultimate Frisbee house competition.
Introduced by Mr Adler and the prefect team, Ultimate Frisbee is a fast-paced, competitive game where the goal is to score by catching the frisbee in the end zone, somewhat similar to American Football.
In the semi-finals, Aspinall played McIndoe, with complete domination the game was called off at halftime in Aspinall's favour. Park and Saxton were planned to compete, however, Park did not show up, and Saxton won by default.
On Friday, Aspinall and Saxton battled for victory in the finals. Saxton brought everything they had - a great start and a strong finish. “I'm happy with our team effort, our team was young and new to the sport. We struggled to complete key passes, however, the lads always put the Mahi in and improved each match. We did make it to the Finals, so we didn't do that bad.” Jaxon Maze (Saxton team leader).
Aspinall were unstoppable throughout the entire competition, and the finals were no exception. Aspinall won the match 9-2 and was awarded 50 house points and the “Tim Adler” trophy. "I’m really impressed by the performance and effort of our team during the competition. We worked well together, and had confidence in each other's abilities, allowing for our fast-paced gameplay. Every game the boys came ready to win, and always gave their all." - Eli Tucker (Aspinall team leader).
