Year 13 students shared some reading time with pupils of Mornington School this morning.
Building on a successful Buddy Reading Programme with Balmacewen Intermediate which has been running for several years, eight Year 13 students are spending an hour a week sharing in reading activities with Year 1 and 2 children.
For one of the boys, Matthew Ogle, it is a chance for him to return to his old school. For them all it is a great opportunity to act as role models in a practical and worthwhile activity that will benefit both school communities.
Otago Boys' is grateful to the staff at Mornington School for the opportunity given to our senior boys to be part of their reading programme.
