A closely fought match was played today at Roberts Park between OBHS 3rd and 4th XI. After a bit of friendly banter the boys got down to business.
The 3rds got out to an early lead, from a classic through ball and into the top right corner. However, the 4ths bravely held out repeated attacks for the rest of the half. If the 3rds dominated the first half, then the second half belonged to the 4ths.
A perfectly placed corner kick from Sean Lau found the head of Josh Malcolm for a brilliant goal to even the scores. That's how it finished with both sides unable to break down some stoic defence.
All boys showed great sportsmanship and spirit, in what was possibly one of the most intense fixtures on the OB's football calendar.
