Congratulations to Hamish and Hunter Walker who competed in the New Zealand National Curling Championship held in Naseby at the beginning of July.
Both boys were members of a very young team that haven’t been curling together before. After a brilliant performance and giving some Olympic curlers a run for their money they came away with a bronze medal.
Hamish and Hunter were joined by Luke Holden to compete in the New Zealand Under 21 Curling Championship which was held in Dunedin from 15 – 17 July, coming away with a silver medal. Their form shows that they are going to be very competitive in the upcoming South Island School Curling Championship and the New Zealand School tournament.
Hamish has once again been selected for the New Zealand Under 21 Men’s Curling team and will be travelling to the World Junior B tournament which is being held in Ostersund, Sweden.
