Year 13 student Flynn Berkett is attending a Hospitality Course at the Otago Polytechnic.
The average day would include wearing a full chef uniform, cleaning the bench and maintaining all equipment which includes sharpening both knives. You receive your recipe and gather the ingredients needed. I enjoy this course as it shows you what it would be like to be in a real working kitchen.
The assessments that I complete are straight forward if you pay attention. You can acquire a total of 60 level 3 credits.
I suggest you seriously consider this course if you are really interested in cookery and this is something you want to pursue.
