Gateway

Year 13 student Christian Noakes is participating in the Gateway Programme and is hosted by Salmond College.

I am currently in Year 13 and supported in my Gateway programme by either Knox or Salmond College Kitchen.

While on placement on a Thursday I work alongside Chefs to mass produce food for the students. I have learnt new skills which include using commercial equipment, knife skills, packaging food and how to work quickly and efficiently. I then put into practice what skills I have learnt back in the classroom.

I would recommend the programme.
