World Read Aloud Day calls global attention to the importance of reading aloud and sharing stories. It celebrates the power of words and the right to literacy.
Here at OB's, form classes were encouraged to read aloud and at lunchtime in the library Mr Stewart Tagg, HOD of English, read the famous Shakespeare speech beginning "Friends, Romans, countrymen..." to an audience of keen listeners. Starter for 10 - which play, extra point for who said it.
