Tena koutou. A new school year brings new faces and challenges. We’re delighted to welcome so many new students to the school this year – if you are a new family to the school, welcome to our whanau.
I was delighted to attend the recent
scholarship and academic blues assembly at the school. The achievements and capabilities of our
young men is something we should take collective pride in, especially when we
see how well their results line up nationally.
Under Tomorrow’s Schools, supporting academic achievement is the core focus for a school board. Your board will be spending considerable time as a group in the coming weeks to start a strategic plan centred around how we can resource and sustain academic achievement at Otago Boys’ High School in the medium to long term. We will be seeking feedback from our community as this plan comes together. It’s not all about bricks and mortar – it’s about how we can future proof the learning experience for our young men, so that we can continue our proud heritage of academic achievement, and set up our boys for great futures.
We welcome your feedback on issues – please feel free to contact the board at [email protected].
Your board is as follows:
Andy Kilsby (Chair)
Pete Young (Deputy)
Liane Topham-Kindley
Janine Kapa-Blair
Russell Marsh
Lawrence Alloo
Anna Campbell
Emma Moore (Staff)
Ben Martin (Student)
