After winning the boys’ section of the Otago Region Secondary Schools' Tennis competition OBHS travelled to Timaru to play in the South Island finals last weekend.
The team was seeded fourth and exceeded expectations by beating Timaru Boys’ High School 5-1 in the play-off for third and fourth. The team of Manawa Rakete-Shea, Ayoub Ahmad, Thomas Chiang, Zane Gray and Angus Faulks all played significant roles in the teams success.
The recent addition of Matt McCutcheon as coach and the work put in by manager Ahmad Abdul-Rahman played a major part in the weekends success.
