Nathan Hill (Year12) has smashed the school cross country record in a time of 7 minutes 48 seconds. He has significantly eclipsed the record (8 minutes 01 seconds) previously held by Bevan Stevens class of 2003.
Bevan was a top class athlete of his time winning the national 6km senior boys road race and a top five national cross country runner. In that race he was chased by New Zealand representative Flynn Morris-Clarke.
What makes Nathan's effort special is the fact that he had no one chasing him to the finish.
