Spring is in the air and boys still play. In fact spring lambs is an apt analogy.
As the weather improves, often so does the mood of the school, staff and pupils. The extra daylight helps us to engage in physical activity and I have been struck this week by the sheer number of games going on around the playground.
Boys still play, even the older ones.
Today in the Library we held an open reading for our poets, both staff and students. It was impressive to see a range of students performing poetry. Certainly as a teacher, I know that the spoken and written word are important for our students to get a sense of themselves and of those around them. Ideas, shaped through language are our muse.
Young men write and read poetry.A number of our sports teams are competing in finals this weekend. I wish them all well and in many cases, thank those volunteers amongst our community who have assisted us in providing this opportunity for our boys.We all benefit from our community.
