Students on the trip were Rory Boyd, George Bright, Jed Cuthbertson, Zane Gray, Charles and Louis Holt, Joshua Koppert and Harley Ruru. Mr Iain Mitchell led the trip, with Mr James Black as first mate.
We went straight to the top of the Crown Range, which was pretty cold, despite being ten degrees, then descended to the old Bendigo School site. The aim was to make scientific observations at various altitudes, including temperature, wind, cloud cover and landscape and vegetation.
Thursday night was in Cromwell. Most ate Indian cuisine. All back and in bed by 8.30pm. In the morning, we had breakfast care of BP and New World, and then went to Naseby Cemetery and made the final observations.
Then home through the Strath Taieri and Outram. It was a most enjoyable trip for all, staff included.
