Last week a group of our Year 11 and 12 students attended the Rangatahi o Te Moana programme for 5 days at Ōtākou Marae.
The programme is designed to extend students' research and interdisciplinary science experiences further.
Students collected samples and data from the surface to seafloor with Marine Scientists and then presented their research as part of the programme. Students Nick Sinnott, Colby Allen, Niwa Brooking and Ronan Geraghty had a fantastic week, apart from the odd bout of sea-sickness, and came back enthused about the whole experience.
