In 2011 Otago Boys’ High School raised a substantial amount of money for Ward 8C (Oncology) in the Dunedin Public Hospital. The funds raised were used to refurbish a room to be used by young patients in isolation. Today we received the following message.
My son was a John McGlashan boy but we are so happy that he has been moved to this room funded by your boys at Dunedin Hospital after his recent diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
It gave his morale a boost to actually have a functioning TV and access to a games modem. He is 21 years and used to play basketball verses OBHS.
Thankyou for this wonderful thing you have done.
