Our value of the term is Excellence - there are many ways to describe excellence.
This term I have chosen a quote from Winston Churchill, in which he defined excellence as:
An example of all these traits is Hamish Bond (1999 - 2003). Hamish visited us today and spoke at the Blues assembly about his time as a High Performance athlete.
He shared an interesting perspective on sacrifice; rather than as a negative he saw any sacrifices he made as being a positive. His mindset was this is where I want to be and this is what I want to do, so rather than it holding him back, sacrifice was not a word that entered his mindset at all. It was all because he wanted to do it.
A great translation for our boys, when you look at the word dream from the quote above. If we replace dream with want, do we get a clearer response from our boys - What do you want? Ok, how are we going to get you there?
The sun is shining, enjoy the weekend.
