This week the students and staff have taken a leap of faith.
They have let go. Ordinarily this would be cause for alarm, but I am pleased to report that we have all survived!
This week we have held a student led inquiry based on the feasibility of the proposed Dunedin waterfront development project. Boys have asked key questions and they have found the answers or are still in the process of finding answers.
This type of investigation learning is not new. What is for us though, is the idea that the students did this for the majority of their classes, meaning teachers shared the process. Next year we will continue with this type of learning as it engages our staff and students.
We will continue to trouble the comfort, for when you are comfortable as a teacher, you are in trouble already.
