This week a team of Year 10 students competed in the Otago Regional Dodgeball competition held at the Metro Sports Centre in Dunedin.
The competition was a one day event and included teams from a range of Dunedin and Central Otago schools.
The format of the competition involved the boys playing 20 minute games with a point earned every time they were able to eliminate the opposition. During round robin play, the team went undefeated with a combined score of 17-5 clearly reflecting some dominant performances.
Heading into the playoff matches the boys were nursing some sore throwing arms but managed to lift for a flattering 5-2 semifinal victory. Onto the final and the boys were the clear crowd favorites but with the finish line in sight they stumbled going down 4-3 in a nail biter of a match.
All in all a great day with some stand out performances.
Team: Connor Arlidge, Elliot Forbes, Tarquin Gordon, Luke Ohlson, Joshua Potter, Harrison Ryan, Ben Smith, Logan Whitty, Hoani Wipaki and Thomas Young.
