On Thursday the OBHS Junior Touch team broke a 5 year drought in winning the OSSSA Touch competition played at the Kensington Oval.
Scintillating attacking play and well organised defense saw us score 36 tries whilst conceding only 11 in pool play and semis. Results were 11-0 V JMC, 5-4 V King's10, 11-2 V Dunstan and 9-5 v King's 9. This put us in the final against the much vaunted Kings team, but the boys were full of confidence having beaten them earlier in the day.
The boys were superb in the final. Quick play, structured defence and superb sub patterns meant King's never stood a chance. Final score 9-5 and the monkey is well and truly off our backs!
The squad was: Angus Faulks (Player/Coach), Eli Ellison, Michael Ruske, Jaxon Bennington, Harry Coggan, Josh Friend, Peter Keenan, George Taylor, Hamish Moore, Wintson Ward, Oliver Niha, Ashton Booth and Liam Kerr.
