Carlin Named in National Team

Year 12 student Carlin Baumgartner has been selected for the National Under 18 Men's Ice Hockey team.

The team will play teams from South Africa and Hong Kong at the World’s tournament being held in Queenstown this April.

Carlin is also a member of the Under 18 Dunedin Thunder and Under 20's Southern Ice Hockey Teams. He trains with and will this year play with the Dunedin Thunder Men’s Team. 

Carlin has for the past three years and continues to be the captain of the Otago Boys' Ice Hockey Team. Playing Ice Hockey since the age of 9 his longer term ambition is to be selected for the New Zealand Ice Blacks.
