The day dawned foggy and cool, but with the breakthrough of the sun and a warming 28 degrees the athletes representing OBHS sprung in to action.
Each and every one of them showed determination and pride in their performances, being it a championship winning one or one of those days when things did not quite go to plan. It is an honour to supervise young men who put in the effort to compete to the best of their ability in their chosen events.
The results, an impressive list (attached below) including four Otago records, demonstrate that athletics at Otago Boys’ continues to be strong. A team of 21 young men will now attend South Island Secondary Schools’ Championships in Timaru on 23 and 24 March.
Good luck boys.
