Otago Boys’ Claim Schools Orienteering Title

On Sunday the 18th of March, the Otago Schools Orienteering Championships were held at Seacliff out by the Coastal Road.

In the Senior Championship Boys grade two Year 11’s competed. Ollie Bixley followed up his 2nd place in the Summer Series by gaining another well earned 2nd place. Isaac Lee also placed 5th.

The Junior Championship was very competitive with Otago Boys’ sweeping the Top 4 spots with just one minute thirty between all four. Moss Pelvin finished 1st, Max Cunninghame claimed 2nd with Brayden Foote and Luke Geddes claiming 3rd and 4th respectively. This continued Otago Boys’ dominance of the grade over the last couple of years.

On top of these excellent results, Otago Boys’ also claimed the Boys High School trophy for the most overall points. This means that the school has gone back to back winning the trophy - an excellent effort.
