We are still seeking funds to help cover the costs of recently purchased devices.
Many thanks to those who have already donated to this worthy cause. Last year we received generous donations from Property Professionals Ltd, David Ballantyne, John Sanders and Cycle Work Dunedin.
Richard Roe who leads the Mt Aspiring programme has now purchased two, two way radios worth $1300 each and also a hand held satellite communication device worth $700.
The lodge at Mt Aspiring remains integral to the OB's experience. This year we aim to get close to 200 student experiences involving the lodge as the base.
The lodge experience builds confidence, challenges, promotes teamwork and quite frankly is the only eight day stretch where their phone is not surgically tied to their hand.
Safety is our number 1 priority. We need your assistance to help us continue to operate in this pristine part of New Zealand. We would be happy to promote your donation through our various publications.
If you are able to assist, please contact me at [email protected]
Help us continue this fantastic OB's experience.
