Pasifika Homework Club

Our Pasifika homework club started this week.

The homework club will run every Wednesday afterschool from 3:30 to 5:00pm, in the school library. This is the 7th year of our homework program and it is an initiative that has bought about much success in raising the academic achievements of our Pasifika students. 

Students can use this time to work on homework, assessments or ask for one on one tutoring from staff. I have asked for help from old boys in the past to help with tutoring and I have been very fortunate to have the support of staff. 

Aims:

• The main aim of this club is to raise the profile of Pasifika academic achievement.
• Interact with old boys’ that are working, attending polytechnic and University. This allows our students time to ask questions about life outside of secondary school.
• Create a positive culture around academic performance. We want our Pasifika students to enjoy doing their work in a safe environment.
