Happy Mothers' Day.
Mothers play an important role in the development of a young man - and the work in the mid 2000s by Celia Lashlie supported the work that they do.
Celia's next body of work, before her death, was to look at how Mums could get support. One of the biggest ways I think is to find a good network of friends who are able to give you good advice. It is the same with our boys. If you want to look at how he will turn out, often it is good to sit back and observe who he is friendly with.
And as I have said before, and what I won't bore you with again, is this is why cellphones are dangerous - you cannot see who is influencing them.
So in our house on Sunday, it will be an electronics free day - that is my gift to my wife, we will do stuff as a family, spend time, go for a walk or whatever. It is the best gift I think we can give.
The gift that Mothers give of love and support is unconditional, and that is how it should be. You have supported him all of his life and you will continue to. Much of it is 'unpaid' too.
As a school we thank all of our Mums for their great support for our school and hope that you get spoiled.
