In junior Technology with Mr Richard Dougherty (Term 1 options), the first recipients of the Rectors Award for outstanding work have received their prizes.
The Wood Technology prize went to Sam Gavin who replicated the 1970's mini cooper of his fathers, which not only looked great, but recorded a fast time of 1.32 seconds over 20 meters!
The Year 9 Metal Technology recipient, Nathaniel Williams, similarly designed his pewter casting to reflect the classic Range Rover driven by his mother. The wood base is shaped like the "Range Rover" logo and the unit is finished as a fridge magnet.
Well done to the both of you.
