On the 13th of May the Otago Boy’s orienteering team travelled down to Invercargill to compete in the Southland Schools Orienteering Championship.
We met at 8:30am and after a 3 hour drive down to Invercargill we bundled out of the van at Sandy Point. After a difficult course, we finished with great results. Theo Nicholson finished 2nd in the Junior Boys Novice grade while Luke Geddes, Brayden Foote and Max Cunninghame came 3rd, 2nd and 1st respectively in the Junior Boys Experienced grade. In the Senior Boys Experienced grade Moss Pelvin came 1st while Issac Lee came 3rd.
All these efforts were amazing and represent a very strong orienteering team for Nationals in July.
