For three days, our Level 3 Earth and Space Science boys carried out their 3.1 Investigations with the support of Steve Cutler and his team of postgraduate students at the NZ Marine Studies Centre in Portobello.
They designed and carried out independent investigations around the theme of ocean acidification. Topics included the effect of pH on respiration in crabs, photosynthesis in seaweeds, erosion of bryozoans and the link between temp, pH and carbon dioxide.
