Octacan Appeal 2018

As part of our School House Competition's 'Community' component OBHS is once again supporting the Octacan Appeal for the Foodbank run by Presbyterian Support.

Over the next 10 days boys are encouraged to bring CANNED goods into the school office where it will be organised in Houses.  At the end of the appeal the house with the most goods/points gains the best score towards their House total.

Points will be allocated as follows:

1 Point

  • 420g Baked Beans/Spagetti


2 Points

  • 800g Baked Beans/Spagetti
  • Vegetables (chickpeas/lentils/beetroot/corn/green beans)
  • Fruit (peaches/fruit salad/pineapple)
  • Tomatoes (whole/peeled/chopped)


3 Points

  • Soups
  • Pasta Sauce


4 Points

  • Creamed Rice
  • Small meats (tuna/chicken/salmon)
  • Packets of biscuits


5 Points

  • Canned meals (Big Eats/Chilli Mince)
  • Large meats (tuna/chicken/salmon)
  • Cereal packets

Next Thursday is the final day for our House Octacan Appeal - providing non-perishable food for the OPS Foodbank.
