The Samoan Prime Minister Susuga Tuliaepa Aiono Dr Sailele Malielegaoi has been on a week long tour of Dunedin. Current students and old boys' as well as staff and the Rector have been involved in his busy schedule.
The Rector, Mr Taufua and two Year 13 students (Michael Pupuali'i and Henry Stowers) were invited by the Dunedin Mayor to a Civic Reception where the PM addressed the guests speaking about the special relationship between New Zealand and Samoa.
A number of our students and old boys' were involved with festivities throughout the week, including a student choir who sung the Samoan and New Zealand national anthems to a crowd of over 200. The gathering celebrated the 56th anniversary of Samoan Independence. Old boy, Sekonaia Pole, was involved in an Ava ceremony earlier on in the week.
