ROBOcup

On Saturday the 23rd of June, Daniel Visser and Aaron Nelson competed in the Otago Regional ROBOcup.

The ROBOcup is a competition where people program robots to compete in different categories. They competed in the theatre genre which is programing the robots to act out a story. The theme for their performance was a talent show where they got 3 robots to perform an act. For example, there was a robot that made all but 1 cup disappear. They won their category as well as a programmer's prize for having one of the best coding programs out of all of the other competitors.

The other categories you can compete in are robot soccer and search and rescue. They are going to be competing again in September for nationals and believe they will do well. This was a great experience.
