Curling Gold

Congratulations to Year 12 student Hunter Walker who competed in the New Zealand Under 21 Curling tournament which was held at the Maniototo International Curling Rink in Naseby during the school holidays.

The team consisting of Hunter, his older brother Hamish (an ex OBHS student) along with Bailey Dowling (John McGlashan) and Jayden Bishop (Kavanagh College) won gold!

Hunter is playing in the Dunedin School competition in which his team is currently undefeated. He will also be competing in the New Zealand Mixed Double, both the South Island Secondary School and the New Zealand Secondary Schools tournament.

Hunter is up for selection for the New Zealand Under 21 Men's team which will travel to Finland in January 2019.  Good luck!
