Campbell and Thomson consolidate their lead in the Mitchell Cup at the annual School House quiz night.

In the lead up to the quiz all the talk was how Nicholson and Hawthorne were going to close the gap on Campbell and Thomson by dominating the quiz. Unfortunately for them, this never happened and the gap continues to grow! The evening was enjoyed by the boys (regardless of the result) and it was heartening to see them embrace the new initiative with so much enthusiasm. The Mitchell Cup really is an important part of hostel life and means a lot to School House boys. A big thank you to Mr Mike McGarry for being the MC for the night.

The Year 9 and 10's went to Aramoana beach on Sunday, braving the rather windy conditions. For most, it was the first time they had been there and in typical teenage boy fashion they spent most of their time rolling down the sand dunes! This Sunday we are off to Leap to try the new climbing walls. One of the walls is a speed climb where climbers race each other to the top. I can see this wall being very popular. Hostel boys tend to be ultra competitive!!

Excitement is brewing in School House with the Year 13 Hostel vs Day Boy league match coming up. This is being played on the last day of term with kick off at 3:30pm at Littlebourne. With the ski trip the weekend before, we have a busy end to term three.

Have a great week.
