National Blues Presented

This week at senior assembly two of our students were presented with National Blues in their respective sports.

Nathan Hanna - Basketball

Nathan was a member of the Junior Tall Blacks who recently played in Bangkok at the FIBA Under 18 Asian Championship. Defeated by Australia in the final, they did however qualify for the Under 19 World Championships being held in either Spain or Germany next year.

Hunter Walker - Curling

Hunter has been selected to represent New Zealand in the Under 21 Curling team.  They will travel to Finland at the end of December for the World Junior Championships.  A win at this tournament will reserve a place at the Youth Olympics being held in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2020.
